I've been in here probably once every decade but I had alot of fun here just playing pool. Some favor the environment, the people, or the music. I can say all 3 are suitable for your night out. Heck you might even bump into someone you might not have seen in years. Stop out sometime and have some fun!
Hanks... Hanks is Hanks, solid bartenders. Pool table is bang up as well. I wouldnt mess with the bartenders cause they can handle their own business but don't think they don't have a plethora of regulars that will have their back, cause they're just that good and hospitable to their customers. Walk in and you feel like a regular. Love it and will be back again and referring to friends to watch the game at.
I use to dread going to this place, but ever since it became Hank's Mt Carmel Pub things have improved tremendously. Prices are great and they have a huge selection of local and unique beers available. The crowd isn't rough like it used to be and the food is great too. Every place is going to get a few bad apples, but the owner and management have made it a priority to boot out the troublemakers and try and keep a respectable clientele. Check it out next time a band is playing and bring some friends for a fun filled evening. I def will go back sometime soon.
I hadn't even heard of this place until recently, despite having lived in the area for my whole life. My girlfriend used to work there, so we've visited a couple times. It turns out that I know Hank from way back, too. It's a small world.
The bar itself is 3 or 4 stars, not bad but nothing really special. The band was awesome they were called Soul Quest. They play there on a regular basis, and I've made sure to come back after they played last time. They sound great and even take some requests.
